Veterans were welcomed with open arms by numerous agencies from the mid-Michigan area. Organization leaders were given the opportunity to comingle and brainstorm ways to work as a team. It was a privilege to see so many people aided in the coming together of our community.
This event also held special remembrance as we paid tribute to those who served during the Vietnam Era. Those who served on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces at any time during the period of November 1, 1955 to May 15, 1975, regardless of location served in (stateside, in country, or other place worldwide), were presented Official Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pins as a lasting memento of the nation’s appreciation.
