On April 26, 2018, My Brother’s Keeper’s Board of Directors and Executive Director held our first Crystal Ball Fundraiser in an effort to continue our work in ending homelessness in Flint and Genesee County. We had an amazing night of fellowship with those who came out in support of our mission. We enjoyed a silent auction, 50/50 Raffle, cocktail hour, and amazing dinner catered by Sandi’s Elegant Catering Company. Our guest speaker was Caleb White with the Caleb White Project. When Caleb White was six years old, he saw a homeless man for the first time and knew that he needed to help. He has spent the past 9 years doing just that! Today, the Caleb White Project is a Detroit-based non-profit with a two-fold mission: to help the homeless and less fortunate and to build youth leaders through volunteerism. Run by a youth advisory board consisting of 9 board members under the age of 18, all CWP events and service projects are carefully designed with jobs for kids of all ages. The goal of the Caleb White Project is to remove judgement and stereotypes and to show young people that they have the power to change the world around them. All in all, we are blessed to have had such a great event and amazing supporters.
We look forward to hosting this event again in the spring of 2019. Sorry for the delay in posting these pictures.
